Malita, Davao Occidental – The BUGSAI Technology Business Incubator (TBI) Team from Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) conducted an awareness campaign at the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) on April 3, 2025, at the Multimedia Room, SPAMAST Malita Campus.
The event marked a significant milestone in fostering collaboration between the two institutions to advance sustainable technological innovations and promote the Blue Economy in the region.
BUGSAI TBI, which stands for Blue Economy Underpinning Global Sustainability through Adaptive Innovation, is committed to supporting and launching startups focused on marine and aquatic business ventures that align with global sustainability goals. Through this initiative, the team aims to cultivate a resilient Blue Economy by providing resources, mentorship, and innovative solutions for aspiring entrepreneurs in the field.
The awareness campaign introduced SPAMAST faculty, staff, and students to the objectives and programs of BUGSAI TBI, highlighting opportunities for research collaboration, business incubation, and technological advancements that contribute to sustainable marine industries.
The visit paved the way for potential joint initiatives between DNSC and SPAMAST, reinforcing their shared commitment to environmental sustainability, economic resilience, and innovative business solutions in the maritime and aquatic sectors.
