CHED Conducts Terminal Monitoring Visit for SPAMAST’s IDIG Project on IT Laboratory Enhancement

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) conducted a Terminal Monitoring Visit at the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) on March 25, 2025, as part of its evaluation for the Institutional Development and Innovation Grant (IDIG) Project.

The visit focused on the project titled: 𝘌𝘯𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘐𝘛 𝘓𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 (𝘐𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢 𝘓𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺), which was designed to strengthen SPAMAST’s technological infrastructure by upgrading its IT facilities and integrating a multimedia laboratory. This initiative aimed to enhance students’ learning experiences and equip them with practical, hands-on skills relevant to today’s digital environment.

CHED officials inspected and conducted a thorough inventory of the equipment and other items procured under the grant as part of the turnover process. During the inspection, CHED stickers were handed over and affixed to the equipment to formally mark them as part of the IDIG-funded assets. This symbolic act emphasized accountability and transparency in the use of public funds.

SPAMAST administrators, faculty members, and project implementers expressed their appreciation for the IDIG grant, highlighting how the upgraded IT and multimedia laboratory has improved the institution’s capacity to deliver innovative and technology-driven instruction.

The Terminal Monitoring Visit marks a significant milestone in the completion of the project, underscoring CHED’s commitment to fostering institutional innovation and development in higher education.

SPAMAST looks forward to maximizing the benefits of the upgraded laboratory to further enhance learning opportunities and contribute to the advancement of digital education in the region.
