SPAMAST successfully concluded the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration on March 28, 2025, at the SPAMAST Lecture Hall, Malita Campus. The culmination event was spearheaded by the SPAMAST Gender and Development (GAD) Office, under the leadership of Director Prof. Imelda T. Lauron. The celebration kicked off with an energetic Zumba session, setting a lively and engaging atmosphere for the participants.
Dr. Janet Octura, Chief Administrative Officer of SPAMAST, delivered an inspiring message, acknowledging the dedication and contributions of women in various aspects of life. She shared her experiences as a daughter, mother, and career woman, emphasizing the importance of balance in mental and physical well-being. Dr. Octura encouraged women to prioritize self-care and self-love, reminding them that their strength and resilience are essential in fulfilling their roles in society.
The event also featured fun-filled activities, where women employees actively participated and won exciting prizes, fostering camaraderie and celebration of women’s achievements.
In her closing remarks, Vice-President for Academic Affairs Dr. Marlyn B. Llameg expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all the women employees who took part in the celebration. Dr. Llameg highlighted the joy of witnessing the enthusiasm and unity of SPAMAST’s women employees, making the culmination activity a memorable success.
The event marked the end of a month-long celebration dedicated to empowering and recognizing the invaluable contributions of women in all sectors, reaffirming SPAMAST’s commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
