Celebrating Passion and Resilience: Recognition of LEPT Passers March 2024

July 5, 2024-In a heartwarming and motivational ceremony, Sir Ervil Charles Millan, School Principal I of Mariano Peralta National High School, delivered an inspiring message at the Recognition Program for the March 2024 LEPT passers. The event, held at the SPAMAST Auditorium, celebrated the theme “Soaring to New Heights: Honoring Achievement and Inspiring Lifelong Learning.”

The March 2024 LEPT passers, Teacher Education Program faculty, ITEIT Dean Dr. Karen E. Cabalquinto, Director for Instruction Dr. Fe T. Canoy, and SPAMAST President Dr. Lynette A. Bontia attended the program.

Sir Millan shared his inspiring journey of determination and resilience, recalling how he walked home to save money for study materials and used his makeup skills for extra income. His passion for teaching led him from a volunteer Teacher to a school principal, a journey that he emphasized was not just a profession but a calling.

“Becoming a teacher is not merely a profession; it is a calling,” he stressed. He illustrated the essence of gratitude and appreciation through a narrative about a fisherman and his grandson, relating it to the journey of passing the licensure examination.

“Dream big; our power to dream is limitless,” Sir Millan encouraged. He left the new teachers with a powerful message: “Teaching is a continuous journey of growth and learning. Stay committed and passionate, as the profession ands in your hands.”

The event concluded with a powerful call to action for the new educators to inspire generations and make a lasting impact on the future, a reminder of the significant role they play in shaping the society.
