BioFusion 360: SPAMAST’s Young Innovators Triumphs in Regional Young Farmers Contest

SPAMAST proudly congratulates the Outstanding Young Agripreneurs behind BioFusion 360 for their remarkable achievement in the 2024 Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) Regional Level Intercollegiate Competition.

The competition, which was presented on February 17, 2025, at the DA XI Regional Field Office, Bago Oshiro, Tugbok District, Davao City, showcased the innovative ideas of young agricultural entrepreneurs. The results were announced on February 26, 2025, confirming the SPAMAST team’s victory.

The winning team, composed of 3rd-year Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering students—Ms. Geneva C. Pahil, Ms. Alexandra Nicole P. Decolas, and Mr. Francis Otordos earned a grant of P250,000.00. This funding will enable them to bring their innovative agricultural concepts to life, promoting sustainability and development within the sector.

Coached by Engr. Ellthon Turtor, Dexter Neil Guden, and Engr. Sidney Jian Villegas, the team showcased exceptional skills in agribusiness planning and execution, highlighting the quality of education and training provided at SPAMAST. 

The Young Farmers Challenge is a significant platform that encourages young individuals to engage in agriculture by providing them with resources and mentorship to transform their ideas into viable business ventures. SPAMAST remains steadfast in its mission to support young agripreneurs in pioneering sustainable and impactful agricultural solutions.
