To advance curriculum innovation and global academic alignment, the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) conducted a two-day training on Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) Syllabi Assessment Design with Internationalization Components on August 4–5, 2025, at the Founder’s Hall, SPAMAST Malita Campus.
The training aimed to capacitate faculty members in designing OBE-aligned syllabi enriched with internationalization features, enabling them to craft instructional tools that not only meet national standards but also prepare students for global competencies and cross-cultural engagement.
Serving as resource speakers were faculty members from the College of Engineering of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP): Engr. Reymar Ledesma, Engr. Joie D. Cataytay, and Engr. Kim P. Ravida. The team facilitated in-depth lectures, interactive workshops, and group sessions focused on enhancing course learning outcomes, assessment strategies, and integrating global themes and perspectives in instruction.
The training included presentation of revised OBE syllabi, and class records with COs by participating faculty members, incorporating internationalization elements such as global competencies, intercultural perspectives, and alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This initiative reflects SPAMAST’s unwavering dedication to delivering quality, globally attuned education as it gears towards becoming a more internationally engaged and future-ready academic institution.
