Residents of Barangay Bolila in Malita, Davao Occidental were given a valuable opportunity to enhance their financial management skills at a recent training session organized by the Institute of Business Management and Governance. The event, held on September 13, 2024, was part of an extension program aimed at improving local financial literacy and budgeting practices.
The training was facilitated by the Accounting and Information System Department, under the leadership of Prof. Jesse Roy Alcaraz. Prof. Alcaraz, along with dedicated faculty members, worked in coordination with the Extension Services Office to deliver a comprehensive program tailored to the needs of the local community.
The session covered essential topics in budgeting and financing, providing participants with practical skills to manage their personal and household finances more effectively. The hands-on approach and interactive discussions were designed to ensure that attendees could apply what they learned in their daily lives.
The successful training session underscores the importance of community-focused educational programs and the positive impact they can have on local populations. The IBMG, together with its partners, continues to pave the way for meaningful educational outreach and support. The initiative was part of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC) Anniversary celebration and was held in conjunction with Linggo ng Malasakit sa Kapwa.
