Tabuan sa SPAMAST Opens, Showcasing Student Ingenuity Through Extension-Led Trade Fair

Color, creativity, and campus pride came alive as the Tabuan sa SPAMAST officially opened with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on February 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., as part of the celebration of the 44th Founding Anniversary of the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST).

Spearheaded by the Extension Services Office, the Tabuan served as a dynamic trade fair that transformed the campus into a vibrant marketplace of ideas and innovation. Students from the different institutes of SPAMAST proudly showcased their products, technologies, and program-based creations—each booth telling a story of learning turned into action.

The opening was actively participated in by SPAMAST officials, faculty and staff, invited guests, and students, reflecting a strong culture of collaboration and institutional support. Visitors were treated to live product demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and creatively designed booths, all symbolizing the academic strength and practical orientation of SPAMAST’s programs.

More than an exhibit, the Tabuan embodied SPAMAST’s extension mandate—bridging instruction, research, and community engagement. It provided students a platform to hone their entrepreneurial skills, promote innovation, and translate knowledge into meaningful, market-ready outputs.

As one of the highlights of the 44th Founding Anniversary, Tabuan sa SPAMAST stood as a celebration of creativity, partnership, and service—reinforcing the institution’s commitment to empowering learners and communities through education that goes beyond the classroom.

Tabuan sa SPAMAST reaffirmed the institution’s role in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through experiential and outcomes-based learning, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by nurturing student entrepreneurship and innovation, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through product development and applied technologies, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening collaboration among the academe, stakeholders, and the wider community.
