The Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) successfully held its 2nd Multidisciplinary Research Forum on August 6,2025 at the SPAMAST Auditorium , bringing together faculty researchers, scientists, and development advocates to showcase innovative solutions under the theme โ€œFostering Collaboration, Driving Innovation.โ€

Organized by the Office of Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) in collaboration with the Extension Services Office, the forum highlighted groundbreaking work across various disciplines that aim to address critical issues in agriculture, environment, health, social development, and policy-making.

The event was formally opened by Dr. Edelyn S. Albiso, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Development, and Extension (RIDE), and Dr. Grace D. Buencillo, Director of RDI, who presented the forum rationale. The keynote message was delivered by SPAMAST President Dr. Lynette A. Bontia, who underscored the vital role of research in solving real-world problems and supporting sustainable regional development.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Kher Dave H. Doรฑos, Director for Extension Services, expressed appreciation to all presenters, evaluators, and organizers. He reaffirmed SPAMASTโ€™s mission to promote evidence-based solutions that uplift communities and advance inclusive innovation.

The 2nd Multidisciplinary Research Forum reaffirmed SPAMASTโ€™s pivotal role in generating knowledge that empowers local communities and promotes regional development rooted in scientific research.
