Malita, Davao Occidental โ The Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology (BSMB) program of the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) underwent Level III Survey Visit Phase 2 by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) from July 28 to July 30, 2025.
The three-day assessment was conducted virtually via Zoom, with accreditors meticulously reviewing the programโs compliance with the quality standards set by AACCUP. All required documents were submitted and evaluated online, ensuring transparency and efficiency throughout the accreditation process.
As part of the evaluation, a virtual tour was carried out to assess the programโs laboratories, instructional facilities, and extension sites. The tour highlighted the institutionโs commitment to providing conducive learning environments and effective community engagement.
In addition, the accreditors conducted interviews with various stakeholders, including students, alumni, and beneficiaries of the programโs extension projects. These interviews provided valuable insights into the effectiveness, relevance, and impact of the BSMB program in addressing both academic and societal needs.
The successful conduct of the accreditation reflects SPAMASTโs continuous pursuit of academic excellence and its dedication to upholding high standards in marine biology education.
